Beautiful bronze 14kt gold gilded late 12th century " Malayu Classical Period 9AD-13AD " alter stele of the most loved deities in Hindu pantheon of gods " Ganesha " "The conqueror of obstacles"  He is with his mount vehicle the shrew or sometimes called a mouse and has his hands full of his protective fighting implements and is holding his broken tusk in his right hand. Ganesha is mounted on a bronze body aureole and stands 12" high or 30 cm and was found in the providence of Muara,Jambi,South Sumatra Indonesia. This alter stele would have been part of a Hindu temple display and comes with a certificate of authenticity from " Wisma Antik" and is fully guaranteed.
